Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions about XinX
What is XinX?
XinX is a free, open-source Android sandbox application that allows you to run apps in isolated environments. It provides features like multiple app instances, hidden Xposed framework, virtual location, and complete privacy protection - all without requiring root access.
Is XinX really free?
Yes, XinX is 100% free with no hidden costs, subscriptions, or premium features locked behind paywalls. All features are available to everyone. We believe privacy should be accessible to all.
Does XinX require root access?
No, XinX works completely without root access. You get full functionality including Xposed framework support without needing to root your device. This keeps your warranty intact and your device secure.
How many app instances can I create?
XinX supports up to 10 independent app instances (spaces). Each space is completely isolated, allowing you to run multiple accounts of the same app simultaneously.
Is my data safe with XinX?
Absolutely. XinX is designed with privacy as the top priority. All your data stays on your device - we don't collect, upload, or share any of your information. The app works entirely offline.
What Android versions are supported?
XinX supports Android 5.0 (Lollipop) through Android 15, covering approximately 99% of Android devices in use today. Both ARM64 (arm64-v8a) and ARM32 (armeabi-v7a) architectures are supported.
How does the hidden Xposed framework work?
XinX includes a built-in Xposed framework that operates within the sandbox environment. It's designed to be undetectable by apps, allowing you to use Xposed modules without triggering security checks in banking or gaming apps.
Can apps detect that they're running in XinX?
XinX uses advanced techniques to minimize detection. While no solution is 100% undetectable, XinX is designed to pass most app integrity checks, including those used by banking and gaming applications.
How does virtual location work?
XinX allows you to set a custom GPS location for apps running in the sandbox. This protects your real location from tracking and allows you to access geo-restricted content. The location spoofing only affects apps within XinX, not your main device.
How much storage and RAM does XinX use?
XinX is lightweight by design. The app itself is about 50MB, and each sandbox space uses 200-500MB of RAM - significantly less than full virtual machine solutions that require 1-2GB. We recommend at least 2GB of total RAM for smooth operation.
Is XinX open source?
Yes, XinX is open source. You can review our code on GitHub to verify our privacy claims and contribute to the project. Transparency is core to our mission.
How do I install apps in XinX?
You can install apps in XinX by either cloning apps already installed on your device or by importing APK files directly. The process is simple and takes just a few taps.
